Biaxial Geogrid

Wrekin geogrids are advanced geosynthetic materials with a competitive range of engineering properties including strength, modulus, weathering resistance corrosion, resistance and creep performance that are the equal of any others in the world. Our E-Grid range of biaxial geogrids are manufactured from polypropylene which is unaffected by all chemicals, including acids, alkalis, salts & micro-organisms normally found in soil.
Biaxial Egrids can solve pavement problems by reinforcing granular sub-bases, capping layers & railway ballasts in areas of weak/variable soils. When granular particles are compacted over these grids, they partially penetrate and project through the apertures to create a strong and positive interlock.
Benefits of the using Geogrid
- Reduced fill depth up to 40%
- Reduced aggregate costs
- Reduced costs of excavation
- Reduced aggregate tax costs
- Reduced landfill costs
- Helps control differential settlement
- Reduces rutting
- Improves fill compaction
- Increases design life and improves life-cycle managemen
