DN1050 Precast Catchpit

The DN1050 catchpit effectively provides a sealed sump manhole, a monolithic precast concrete unit fitted with connector seals which can be used to connect to the following types of pipe: uPVC, twinwall, clay, ductile iron and concrete. The catchpit is designed to accommodate pipe sizes DN150 to DN450. The catchpit is designed in line with highway specification.
FP McCann can produce catchpits up to DN375 in a straight through orientation (180 degrees). 4-way units with orientations at 90% degrees can be produced up to DN300 only, beyond DN300 4-way orientations are not available. DN450 inlets must be cored onsite

DN1050 Precast Catchpit

  • Creates an immediate watertight structure
  • Cost benefits with reduction in construction time and resource requirement
  • Economically advantageous as limited wet trades are required in the manhole construction
  • Accommodates connection to all types of pipe used in road and manhole construction
  • Safety benefits gained in the construction of manholes as the pre-formed sump and connector seals eliminate on site construction, thus greatly reducing labour activity within the manhole
  • Increased confidence to meet industry standards
  • Quality is greatly increased as construction is within the factory environment
  • Eliminates material wastage associated with current in-situ method
  • Yields environmental benefits with less concrete used on site and less excavated material removed from sit

The health, safety and wellbeing of our colleagues, customers and communities has been our priority since the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus. We have closely followed the advice of our Government and have implemented appropriate actions to help prevent the spread of the virus in our branches.

Following last night's announcement from the Prime Minister we believe the responsible approach is to suspend trading for the next three weeks in all our branches. With immediate effect all PDM Buildbase, Hirebase and Electricbase branches will be closed for deliveries, collections and online orders. Subject to receiving clarification from Government, we aim to continue with the supply of materials through a small number of branches to support essential repair and maintenance activity.

The situation is unpredictable and these measures have not been taken lightly. We apologise for the inconvenience caused during this period, but we will take all measures we can to support the Government in their efforts to control the spread of this virus.

We will keep you updated on further developments and will announce when branches are ready to reopen.

Due to the above, we would much prefer for all payments to be made either electronically or via the telephone.

  • We will be waiving all credit / business card payment fees until the end of April, so why not give us a ring and pay your account securely by card.
  • Our credit office telephone number is 0141 892 8960
  • Our bank details for electronic transfers are located on our payment 'remittance advice' area of your statement
  • Rather than post us your remittance advice we would prefer these to be emailed to us at [email protected]
