DN1200 Easi-Base (Polypropylene lined) efficiency in manhole constructio


Combining both materials together perfects the whole process of connecting the manhole chamber to the pipeline. The polypropylene unit provides prefabricated channels and connectors which:

DN 1500 & DN 1800 Precast Concrete Easi-Base

FP McCann are extending their Easi-Base range to include large diameter concrete manhole bases. These Bases will accommodate Concrete, Clay, Twin Wall and uPVC Pipes from DN 300 to DN 900mm. Connection to the base will be made on site by applying epoxy resin to a conventional socket/spigot butt before insertion into  the opening of the precast manhole.

Bases are traditionally constructed manually in-situ using ready mix concrete which is troweled to form the base and benching. This practice is labour intensive and requires optimum site conditions to achieve a quality result. With the precast alternative many of the variable factors in the manual process are negated.



  • Cost savings achieved as a result of speed of installation and reduced resource requirements
  • A water tight homogenous base section is achieved once the base is lifted into position and when utilised with our new “no lifting holes” chamber rings, the complete structure is water tight.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our colleagues, customers and communities has been our priority since the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus. We have closely followed the advice of our Government and have implemented appropriate actions to help prevent the spread of the virus in our branches.

Following last night's announcement from the Prime Minister we believe the responsible approach is to suspend trading for the next three weeks in all our branches. With immediate effect all PDM Buildbase, Hirebase and Electricbase branches will be closed for deliveries, collections and online orders. Subject to receiving clarification from Government, we aim to continue with the supply of materials through a small number of branches to support essential repair and maintenance activity.

The situation is unpredictable and these measures have not been taken lightly. We apologise for the inconvenience caused during this period, but we will take all measures we can to support the Government in their efforts to control the spread of this virus.

We will keep you updated on further developments and will announce when branches are ready to reopen.

Due to the above, we would much prefer for all payments to be made either electronically or via the telephone.
