Geotextiles

The two main ranges of Woven and Non-woven geotextiles can be provided in full width rolls, or as mini rolls and mini packs.

Woven Geotextiles

Our Geotextiles offering is Wrekin’s Fastrack SG (Standard Grade) range of woven Geotextile fabrics is produced with long term performance in mind. It is available in strengths of up to 200kN/m width as standard and CBR puncture strengths ranging from 1.5kN to 12.kN. Black in colour, the SG range is primarily used for separation and reinforcement and can be used in isolation or in conjunction with the Wrekin SX geogrids.

FT609 is one of the most commonly specified geotextiles in the UK for separation. Designed and manufactured to conform to the HE SHW for road and earthworks separation, FT609 provides the optimum solution for separation for the civil engineering market

Fastrack Orange is based on our popular FT609 geotextile, to prevents the intermixing of contaminated and uncontaminated soils, and highlight the requirement for separation.

Wrekin’s Fastrack HS range of woven geotextiles is manufactured from high tenacity polyester yarns offering strengths in the principle load bearing direction up to 1000kN/m width. White in colour, these reinforcing fabrics typically offer less than 2% creep after two years at a loading 50% of maximum strength. They can be used for Load Transfer Platforms and Basal Reinforcement in embankments.

FasTrack™
Separation and filtration

FasTrack™ is Wrekin’s market leading brand of woven geotextile, with a range of different polymers, weave patterns and strengths. Woven geotextiles provide a cost-effective solution for the separation of granular fill materials, and for the provision of sub structure support.

Woven geotextiles typically offer greater mechanical strength per unit weight than comparable non-woven grades, providing a cost-effective solution for a vast range of applications. The most common application is for the use as a separating layer beneath roads, helping to prevent rutting through separation and tensile support.

FasTrack™ woven geotextiles are specified by both civil and marine engineers. Most commonly for the separation and reinforcement of soil and aggregate layers. FasTrack™ is often used in road, rail, foundations, embankments and coastal defence applications.

FasTrack™ 609:

FasTrack™ 609 is one of the largest selling general purpose geotextiles in the UK. Designed and manufactured to conform to the Department of Transport Highways Specification for road and earthworks separation. FasTrack™ 609 provides the optimum solution for separation, support and filtration for the civil engineering market.

FasTrack™ Orange is based on our popular FasTrack 609 and is used to prevent the intermixing of contaminated and uncontaminated soils. Its bright colour also alerts users and future users to the potential danger of further excavation.

Mini Rolls and Mini Packs

FasTrack™ is also available in a range of mini rolls and packs from stock. Ideal for use on small construction and landscaping contracts. FasTrack™ mini rolls provide contractors with a cost-effective solution for small general purpose applications.

Wrekin offer a ‘Total Geosynthetics Package’ from sales and technical support to engineering design services. You can find out more at wrekinproducts.com

MultiTrack™:
Separation, filtration, erosion control and protection

MultiTrack™ non-woven geotextiles provide engineers with a comprehensive range of products from 70 to 2000gsm. Manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities, they provide the combined qualities of high water permeability and mechanical robustness. Non-woven geotextiles, due to their high elongation at break, offer greater resistance to installation damage.

MultiTrack™ plays a major role in construction when performing the functions of separation, filtration and erosion control. Their mechanical robustness and excellent hydraulic properties make them an ideal choice for applications requiring separation and filtration.

MultiTrack™ 1000

MultiTrack™ 1000 is one of the UK’s most widely used general purpose non-woven geotextiles. Used as a separation and filtration layer in general civil engineering applications including access roads and areas of hard-standing, filter surrounds for trench drains, separation to prevent the intermixing of dissimilar soil layers and for erosion control, attenuation units, horse arenas, trench drains and much more.

Mini Rolls

MultiTrack™ is also available in a range of mini-rolls and packs from stock. Ideal for use on small construction and landscaping contracts. MultiTrack™ mini rolls provide contractors with a cost-effective solution for small general purpose applications

Non-woven Geotextiles

Wrekin’s MultiTrack NW range of thermally bonded non-woven geotextiles have been developed for separation and filtration in a wide range of groundworks and drainage applications. Manufactured using a thermal bonding process, our NW range has excellent filtration properties, making them ideal for use in a variety of construction applications. Examples would include drainage trenches, wrapping of attenuation units, wrapping of perforated drainage pipes, encapsulation of granular drainage blankets. White in colour, the NW range is primarily used for separation and filtration, and can be used in isolation or in conjunction with the Wrekin EG geogrids.

MT700 and MT1000 are some of the UK’s most commonly specified general purpose non-woven geotextiles and is our alternative to Terram® 700 and Terram® 1000. Used as a separation and filtration layer in applications for highways, attenuation units, horse arenas, drainage etc.

Wrekin’s Superior Non-Woven (SNW) range of geotextiles are manufactured by needle punching a web of high tenacity fibres to produce a consistent & uniform product of highest performance. Produced on computer-controlled production lines, available in weights from 120 to 2000gsm. SNW products offer excellent puncture resistance properties combined with high permeability, properties that provide engineers with a versatile fabric ideally suited for the protection and/or separation/filtration functions. White in colour, the main applications include it’s use as a protection fleece for impermeable liners, SUDS, land fill sites, protecting coastal defences and riverbanks from erosion when used with rock armour, pipeline protection fleece.

Multitrack SNW40 with its high puncture resistance combined with our 500-micron geomembrane barrier provides an optimum solution for many SUDS related projects.
